Grateful for my children

Abby-
I was feeling guilty the other day because I haven't done a very good job introducing my children to a variety of music.  I have never been that  into music so I am not great with bands etc... Though my girls currently love Taylor 'Smith' (Swift) and Carrie Underwood.  The other day I was in the kitchen and Abby yells up from the computer, 'Mom, where are the Black-eyed Peas on the computer?'  All our music is on the computer and they know how to access it, but I didn't think my children would be into that kind of music until their teens, but I guess she hears their newer song on the way to school a lot... I guess I didn't have to culturalize them--Dad is!

Jeana-
We sat down for FHE and came up with a new list of weekly chores for each family member so it will be on paper and I can stop nagging.  I had just washed their sheets and was putting them back on the girls bed and I had asked Jeana to help me b/c she had earned an extra job as a consequence earlier that week (granted we have bunk beds and she is on top.)  She then turned to me and said, 'I already have lots of jobs Mom that I have to do, so I can't do anymore."  I replied with, "Well, Mom always has lots of jobs, but if we don't work together, they will never get done."  To which she answered, "But Mom you are home ALL day, why can't you just do them?"  OUCH!!!  I think I'd rather go to school too!

Jeana-
'Mom your hair is getting so long it almost comes all the way down to the bend in your shoulder (aka elbow.)
